Kofukan Dojo

The Kofukan Dojo was established by Colin Sensei in 2007 after approx 10 years of training in Matayoshi Kobudo.He felt it was time to promote Kobudo in Brisbane.

Colin originally started training under Sensei Arthur Moulas, President of Matayoshi Kobudo Australia in Sydney.

He would every few weeks travel a 5 hour round trip just to further his knowledge. This happened for many years and during this time he progressed through the grades.

In 2004 due to his wifes desire to further her career and to give their family a better life, Colin Sensei and his wife Sharynn relocated to Brisbane.

During this time he met up with Peter Bayliss and Bogdan Lew and continued his study of Matayoshi Kobudo.

 

Even to this day they all still travel to Sydney twice a year to train with Sensei Moulas and Gaja Sensei when he visits from Okinawa.

Colin was succesful in obtaining his 3rd Dan from Gaja Sensei and Moulas Sensei in 2006.
